Even wonder why a Shih Tzu bonds so quickly with their human Moms or Dads? I would explain it as this: Our babies are born into our hand, their first smells are their natural Mother..which becomes their biological mother and a human, we are the first smells they meet upon taking their first breath. It is any wonder they act like you are there Mother or Father? Crying when you leave their side or sight? Understanding this helps you to understand the strong human bond these dogs posess. Please be kind, and treat them as the little fur babies they really are. They do not know they are a dog, shh..we aren't going to tell them either.

Sleeping with your new baby is the fastest way to help them to understand you are their new Mom or Dad, bonding is very important, they will cuddle up to you and sleep like a baby. Dont get all caught up on they might pee on the bed, as a parent you are programmed to wake up when your baby does, put the puppy down on there pee pad and they will do there business and go back to bed with you. This is important for the first few nights until they feel safe, and comfortable enough to sleep in their basket near your bed.

What goes home with your Puppy

Every puppy goes home with a small amount of food that they are already eating so that you can slowly add the new food into there diet and not upset there stomach which will cause diahreah if you change there food suddenly.We provide at the least there first puppy shot, especially when dealing with Teacup sized they are so small they generally get a 1/2 shot at a time until they are older and have more weight to them to safely give a full shot, if your puppy is not a teacup most go home with 2 shots,, which covers parvo, distemper, adnovirus type 2, parafluenza , wormings, treatment for earmites, coccidia, giradia, and treat them with Frontline Plus, if Flying home I take them to our Vet for a check up and a clean bill of health.

State law requires us to provide 1 puppy shot, our goal is to protect our puppies, we provide them with much more than is asked of us out of love, and guarantee them from genetic problems for a full year from the day of purchase, we give 7-10 days on parvo and a year on genetics.. please do not take your new puppy out to visit everyone you know who has new dogs or recently purchased puppies, this can attribute to coming into contact with parvo or distemper if their dogs are not properly vaccinated and risk your puppies life. Let them grow and build an immune system, get their third shot into them at 12 weeks. Remember if someone comes into contact with your puppy and they have been around a sick dog the germs can stay on there clothing alone for 2 weeks. Be cautious, and enjoy your new baby!
